2023 Spring Season Coaches

Khalif el-Salaam, Varsity Coach

I have been playing ultimate for 15 years and coaching for 9. I love the game and investing in the next generation of talent. One of my favorite things about the Roosevelt program (other than the amazing supportive parents) is the dedicated kids and their willingness to sacrifice their time to be better. It’s easy to show up and coach 20-25 kids who all want to be here! Fun fact about me is I was a salsa Instructor and mime growing up :)

Kelly Johnson, Varsity Coach

As an ultimate competitor, I bring over 17 years of experience, and as a coach over 12 years. I wouldn’t be where I am today without those that invested into me, thus I love giving back to the sport and others through coaching. I’m so happy to be back with Roosevelt for my second season. I’m a very passionate, caring demander so get ready for more sideline yelling! Off the field, I work as a strength and conditioning trainer and a physical therapist assistant, and I love playing with my pup Dewey. He’s a sweet but rowdy sideline dog, so get ready for that too. Go Riders!

Bonnie Ho, JV Coach

Hi friends, welcome to ultimate frisbee. I've worked with Roosevelt High School, Ingraham High School, University of Washington, and have guest coached for numerous teams on the west coast. Outside of coaching, you can catch me playing rugby on Saturdays or volleyball on Sundays. Lately I have been trying to get good at pool !

I promise to do my best for these players. It's going to be a great season!

Love,

Bonnie

Anya Terzic, JV Coach

I have played ultimate for about 8-9 years, even playing with UW Element last year. I've just started getting into coaching this year but am so excited for the upcoming season! Going through the program at Roosevelt and finding my love for the sport I cannot wait to be able to give back to the program where it all fell into place for me. Outside frisbee I'm a sophomore at the University of Washington studying Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology.
